About the Mine
The mine is located in Floyd county Kentucky next to the small town of Eastern, KY. It has easy access to Hwy 80 and is about 9 miles from the CSX Coal loading facility at Spurlock, KY.
The mine was in operation 2007 and 2008. Approximately 55,000 tons of coal was extracted.
There is an estimated 1.2 Million tons of recoverable (mineable) Met coal available TO MINE.
